When traveling in Bali, you’ll come across numerous delightful eateries. Among them, I recently visited Ikan Bakar Alas Purwo Gunung Salak, and it was truly a special experience. Today, I’d like to share an honest review of this restaurant with you.

Ikan Bakar Alas Purwo Gunung Salak is located in Kerobokan area of Bali. Nestled in this vibrant neighborhood. when we arrived there at 6: 30 pm, there were so many people already having a nice time with their family and friends.
Opening Hours
This restaurant is open daily from 10 AM to 10 PM. It’s particularly busy during lunch and dinner hours. I visited around lunchtime, and the place was bustling with locals and tourists alike, all enjoying their meals.
Signature Dishes
The most famous dish here is undoubtedly the Ikan Bakar, which is grilled fish. Fresh fish is marinated with various spices and grilled to perfection. The taste is exceptional, with the soft texture of the fish and the aromatic spices creating a harmonious blend that will captivate you from the first bite.
Additionally, I highly recommend trying the Udang Bakar which is grilled shrimp. Fresh and tasty.
Price Range
The prices are quite reasonable. A plate of Ikan Bakar costs around 80,000 IDR (approximately 6 USD), which is not overly expensive compared to other restaurants in Bali. Sate Lilit is priced at about 50,000 IDR (around 4 USD) per plate, making it affordable to try various dishes.
Udang bakar 26,000 IDR for 100g which means 3 pcs. so even you order 15 pcs of shrimp, still 130,000 IDR (around 10 USD)
Restaurant Ambiance
The interior of the restaurant is cozy and exudes traditional Balinese charm. The wooden furniture and intricate decorations create a comfortable dining atmosphere. There is bench tables which you can seat on the floor, if you have kids and comfortable with sitting on the floor, I would like to recommend this seats.
Service and Hospitality
Unfortunately, I read a lot of bad review, How slow the food come out after you order. so I ‘d recommend to reserve before you get there, Time and Even the menu ! The waiters are super busy, Sometimes they forget what you order. So it you do not want to wait, make sure making a reservation before you go.
