Morning at Kuta Beach
Last weekend, I spent a perfect day at Kuta Beach. The warm sunshine and cool sea breeze made the day truly enjoyable. Kuta Beach is famous for its stunning sunsets, and we arrived early in the morning to rent two sunbeds for 200K IDR. Thanks to these sunbeds, we were able to relax comfortably all day long.
We played in the sand, swam in the water, and had a blast. It was especially wonderful to spend time with the kids playing on the sandy beach or splashing around in the water. After spending the morning leisurely, lunchtime approached.
Lunch at Paik’s Noodle in Kuta Beachwalk Mall
For lunch, we headed to Paik’s Noodle, located inside the Kuta Beachwalk Mall. This restaurant is a Korean-style Chinese eatery, and it’s a well-known franchise in Korea and abroad. I ordered Jajangmyeon (black bean noodles) and Tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork).
Jajangmyeon: Although the signature dish here is Spicy Seafood Noodles (Jjamppong), I chose the milder Jajangmyeon since I was with the kids. The rich black bean sauce and chewy noodles were fantastic, and it tasted just like the dish I enjoyed back in Korea. The prices were a bit high, but the portion sizes were generous, making it a satisfying meal.
Tangsuyuk: The Tangsuyuk here comes with the sauce already poured over, so there was no option to choose between dipping or pouring the sauce. Nevertheless, the crispy pork paired with the sweet and tangy sauce was absolutely delicious.
After lunch, we took a stroll around the mall, enjoying some light shopping and a bit of relaxation before heading back to Kuta Beach.
Afternoon Relaxation at Kuta Beach
After lunch, we returned to Kuta Beach and spent the afternoon lounging on our sunbeds. We enjoyed some sunbathing, listened to the sound of the waves, and closed our eyes for a bit of rest. The laid-back atmosphere of Kuta Beach truly helped to wash away the stress of daily life. As evening approached, we watched the beautiful sunset, marking the end of a wonderful day.
Dinner at Gong Corner
For dinner, we headed to a local Indonesian restaurant called “Gong Corner.” This place is a favorite among both locals and tourists, particularly known for its seafood dishes. Here are two dishes that left a strong impression on me:
Seafood Stir-Fry: This dish, featuring fresh shrimp, squid, and various vegetables, was flavorful and well-balanced. The spicy sauce heightened our appetite, and we quickly finished the plate.
Grilled Fish: The grilled fish was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, making it a truly delightful meal. A squeeze of lemon added an extra zing to the flavors.
Gong Corner offers a cozy and friendly atmosphere, making it a great spot for a relaxed dinner. The prices are reasonable, making it an easy recommendation for travelers.
My day at Kuta Beach was nothing short of perfect. From morning to evening, the beautiful beach and delicious food made the day even more special. If you plan to visit Kuta, I highly recommend having lunch at Paik’s Noodle and dinner at Gong Corner. Both places offer tasty food and unforgettable memories that will enhance your travel experience.
